Has anyone else ever had a
tough time finding a battery for something?
Then if you do find the battery, you have difficulty putting it in? Watches, key fobs, remotes, especially!
I spent several hours this past week trying to find a battery for a Timex watch. I went to four jewelry stores, Target, then Kohl’s, to name just a few local sources. I looked online as a last resort because I needed someone to open the back up to install the battery too. Seems that no one does that anymore—except for Medawar Jewelers. They were willing to put the battery in but did not have the size I needed. They could not order one for me because it required a Lithium-Ion battery, which cannot be shipped by air, so they could not guarantee when I would get it. I appreciated their candor.
So out of frustration, my husband
and I headed to Sweetwater’s Donut Shop on Stadium. Down the road my husband
saw the Interstate All Battery Center. “They sell batteries, and you
have nothing to lose by just walking in” he chided. Since he was buying the donuts, I decided to
humor him and keep my thoughts to myself.
