BEAT THE CLOCK CHALLENGE - Congratulations to Our Two Winners!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Congratulations Linda Carpenter, our Beat the Clock Challenge Winner for September!

Four people entered the Word Search - Harvest Time puzzle challenge. The winner of the runner-up prize drawing is Sue Kuipers Sue will have to fill you in on what she won once she collects her prize 😊

My husband Mike didn't mind parting with the $20 he promised for the challenge winner.  However, eating vegetables and binge watching "Married at First Sight" with me for the rest of the month may have him knocking on doors to see "What's for Dinner?" and asking if he could watch a murder mystery or two with you!

The Neighbor-to-Neighbor Newsletter will be distributed to everyone (either electronically or paper copies) this week, along with copies of the Leisure Pointe handouts from our Berkshire-Hathaway management team. In the newsletter is this month's Word Search-Harvest Time. My husband (Mike) sometimes gets the puzzles before they are distributed to everyone. This month he has been less than enthusiastic.

Mike says that the Word Search (Harvest Time) this month is "impossible to do by any normal person".  My response was that he is "not normal and gives up too easily". My normal focus group is now back in school, so that leaves our fellow neighbors here at Leisure Pointe to resolve this difference of opinion.

If no other neighbor in Leisure Pointe solves this puzzle by noon on Monday, September 16th, Mike gets total control of the TV remote until the end of September (he can also take it to work during the day) AND I owe him a dinner at the restaurant of his choice (not limited by location).

If a neighbor living in Leisure Pointe (other than my husband) solves it by noon on Monday, September 16th, the winner of this challenge receives $20 from Mike AND Mike has to eat vegetables (which may or may not include broccoli and carrots--depending on what is served) and he has to give me total control of the TV remote until the end of September.

I will have additional paper copies in a pocket on our porch starting Saturday 9/7 if you do not get one or don't have a printer for the electronic version.

Any co-owner up for this challenge is bound by the following
"Code of Honor":

1. Participant is not allowed to have assistance of ANY type from anyone else (including, but not limited to, another co-owner, spouse, family member, children, human of any age, Google, or AI-Artificial Intelligence).

2. An original paper copy of the winner's legible finished puzzle must be dropped off by noon on Monday, 9/16.  I will have a drop-box on our porch (at 4958 Weston) for all entries so drop-off can be made any day and time.

3. On the back of the puzzle participant needs to include the following information:

  • First and last name (printed)
  • A printed statement saying "I solemnly swear that I did not have help from anyone else while solving this"
  • Date the puzzle is dropped off (mail-ins will be dated by the date stamped on the mailing envelope)
  • Phone Number
  • Email (if they have one)
  • Unit Number in Leisure Pointe

If you are out of town and want to participate, you can mail your entry to us at:

The first person to drop-off or mail-in an accurately solved puzzle will be declared the winner.  In the event of a tie, there will be a play-off puzzle designed by Mike to break the tie.
