Speaking of window wells, recently it
took us three trips to two different stores to get a size and shape that fit.
We finally found one at Menard’s (but this brand can be found at other stores
and online). In case anyone needs to replace theirs and is as unsure (as I was)
what kind and size to get, I am providing info on what worked for us. Hopefully,
this info may help someone.
The covers were $18.42 each (and qualify for their rebate program). They were made by Shape Products. The style is a Straight Dome Window Well Cover. They are heavy duty and come with a 5-Year Warranty.
This model came in two sizes. The one that fit our window wells the best is the 39” W X 15”H X 13” Projection. The only drawback was that they did not come with screws to anchor it. Instructions recommended use of 1/8” x 1-1/2” self-tapping screws to anchor the cover against the wall over the window well. Spring-clips can be added (but may not be needed) to fasten the cover to window well at the base.
