COMMUNITY: Shredded Paper Recycling

Many of us shred personal papers and want to recycle them.  They are normally not an allowable recycle item for our bins here at Leisure Pointe.  Reasons for that are valid, including getting blown out around the dumpster area and yards, and on the other end there is a risk of the small loose papers clogging their sorting equipment.  Co-owner, Joanne M, was asking about other options for her shredded papers. Unless you enjoy taking trips to the dump or the main Republic Recycling Center, see below for other options:

WasteNot Recycling at the corner of Ravine and Nichols Road will accept it for a charge based on size/weight.  The pricing starts at $6-$8. Address 3025 Ravine Road, 269-492-1020

The UPS Store at 5047 W Main, phone 269-382-4040, does paper shredding, but will also accept shredded papers to add to their recycling bin at $1.00 per pound.  They will weigh it when you bring it in.
